LSA was a company in Stephenville, TX that started making high-end 1911s in the early 2000's. The pistol in question was manufactured by a company called Lone Star Armament. He was the first person to give me a shot in surveying, and I like to think I haven't let him down. ![]() Obviously I was stunned, and genuinely humbled by the gift. He said he'd had it for sale for a while and had been getting nothing but low-ball offers, and rather than sell it for less than it was worth, he'd prefer to give it to me. He then pulled out a gun rug with a pistol in it and proceeded to give me one of his 1911s. and he usually brings along his newest acquisitions to show off.Īround Christmas, late last year, we met at our usual spot for lunch and then did the whole show-and-tell on our new firearms. Has owned them all.Wilson, Baer, Nighthawk, full blown customs, etc. We always talk politics, surveying (we're both Registered Professional Land Surveyors.he's now retired), and mostly guns. A good friend and mentor of mine try to meet up every month or so to have lunch.
